Greek Short Films Submission Call for the Competition section of the 21st Athens International Film Festival

Submission Deadline: July 13th, 2015. Neither exclusivity to the Festival, nor a Greek premiere are requested.

For the 4th consecutive year, young Greek film makers can participate in the Greek short films Competition Section of the Athens International Film Festival – Opening Nights, contesting for one of the section’s Award, among which the Best Film award which is accompanied by a 2.000€ prize.

All Greek short films which have been completed from September 2014 until before the start of the 21st Festival can participate in the Competition Section.

ATTENTION! Neither screening exclusivity is requested, nor Greek premiere of the film. The film may have already participated or might be simultaneously participating in another festival.

The submission deadline for short films expires on July 13th, 2015.

The submission procedure is conducted for the second year in collaboration with the international platform MoviBeta, securing exclusively for the Greek and Cypriot applications free submission to the platform.

The selected films will be screened during the Festival, (23/9-4/10/2015). In case the film also participates in the Film Festival of Drama, it will be scheduled to screen in the Opening Nights after the 21st of September.

The Awards:

The awards which will be granted to the winning films are: Best Film (accompanied by a 2.000€ prize), Second and Third Best Film, Best Direction and Best Screenplay.

The 21st Athens International Film Festival – Opening Nights is organized by the Athens Film Society (a Non-Profit Organization) and co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund within the National Strategic Reference Framework 2007–2013.
