Be a member of the Youth Jury for the 21st Opening Nights Festival

The Athens International Film Festival invites you to apply for a place in the Youth Jury which attributes the «Golden Athena» award to the Best Film in the official competition section as well as two more awards, the city of Athens Direction award and the Script award.

Serving this purpose, this year too, a special Youth Jury Committee will be formed, constituted by five (5) students enrolled in schools of film, drama, theatrical and/or media and communication studies.

During the Festival, the members of the Committee will also have the opportunity to attend a series of other parallel activities.

The Youth Jury Committee participants should be:
1. from 18 to 25 years-old.
2. residents of Greece.
3. Students of film (direction, script-writing, production, photography etc.) in a public or private university or study center. Students of drama, theatre and media & communication studies will also be accepted.
4. be fluent in English.
5. be fully available between the period 16-27 September 2015.
6. Be willing to watch all the films in the «Competition Section», the film seminars and be able to express a fair judgment as far as the attribution of the three awards is concerned.
The Festival’s organizers will provide each Youth Jury member, who does not live in Attica, one train or bus ticket, with return, as well as one meal per day for the duration of the Festival.
All interested parties are required to send:
• A brief biographical note accompanied by an ID photo
• A TOP-10 list with their favorite movies, for the period 2014-2015
• A 500-word essay on a movie or film subject of their choice.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, July 20th, 2015.
